Part-Time Administration Coordinator

Waitaha Regional Leadership Group  Christchurch City, Canterbury $25 - $30 per hour

Job Description

Newly created position to facilitate success through the provision of your administration genius, this is a part-time, contractor opportunity.



Enabling Good Lives (EGL) is a partnership between the disability sector and government agencies tasked with transforming how disabled people, and their whanau are supported to live everyday lives. The purpose of the EGL Waitaha Regional Leadership Group (Waitaha RLG) is to build local leadership, contribute to co-design work and Canterbury implementation, promote, and protect EGL principles and values, and actively promote collaboration between Ministries of Health, Social Development, and Education. The Waitaha RLG is made up of disabled people, their whanau, Mana Whenua, and Providers.  This is a brand-new opportunity to provide strong administrative skills to ensure efficiency.



  • Plan, organise, and administer the activities of the Waitaha Regional Leadership Group and Core Groups.
  • Planning and coordinating administrative procedures and systems and devising ways to streamline processes.
  • General administrative duties inclusive of but not restricted to scheduling and coordinating bookings of meetings, accurate note-taking, data entry, and data integrity.
  • Managing data in spreadsheets and reporting and keeping records and reports up to date.
  • Liaison with finance to ensure all purchases are within budget.




  • A deep understanding of, and commitment to, the Enabling Good Lives vision and principles and how to apply these in practice.
  • An understanding of, and commitment to Whãnau Ora outcomes for disabled people, tangata whaikaha, whanau, families, and aiga.
  • Links with communities we serve, including Mãori, Pasifika, Rainbow (LGTBIA+) people, and those new to New Zealand and/or deaf culture.
  • Ability to interface efficiently with stakeholders.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • An eye for detail resulting in accurate work.
  • A cheerful disposition and approachable attitude.
  • Reliable, well organised with excellent communication skills.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.

Assistance for parts of your role (e.g. moving around the community, support to perform tasks, NZSL interpretation) you can receive flexible, individualised assistance to enable your work.

A willingness to undergo a Police check

The Covid-19 Public Health (vaccination) Order requires the full vaccination of anyone conducting high-risk work in the Health and Disability Sector, or who does not necessarily provide a health service but works in a role that requires frequent contact/engagement with those that do. Therefore, you are required by the order to be vaccinated.
