Full-Time Admin & Sales Support

Method is a company providing beautiful products to make recycling a simple and functional part of modern office fit outs. Our award-winning design is transforming the way people see recycling, by making its integration into the workplace seamless and stylish.

Launched in New Zealand in 2015, Method has designed, produced and sold its recycling bins to a number of leading local businesses and a year ago entered the Australian market. Recent winner of the Westpac $50K growth grant business competition, named as “one to watch” in the Deloitte Fast 50 and commended in the recent SBN (Sustainable Business Network) awards; we are a team of 4 but we are growing quickly. Our method recycling bins are made in New Zealand.

The inspiration for a beautiful recycling bin came form our other company Total bins ( that been running for 5 years and operates alongside Method selling a range of indoor and outdoor bins and accessories to businesses in New Zealand and that business requires your help too.

We need a person to work across both companies in a Business Administration and Sales Support role. It’s a full time role starting end of February – early March 2017. You will work alongside the owners (and Auckland based Business development manager) in The Bizdojo, a modern, well designed co-share office in Tory Street Wellington – 150 people form other startups and small businesses work in the space so its got a great culture and vibe. Working in a startup means the role is busy and varied.

If you are a person who is keen to learn on the job and grow with the company then please apply. You will need to be a self starter, committed to sustainability, customer focussed and have level of grit (required at times in a startup) with good written and verbal communication skills. Some experience in xero and office administration would be helpful but can be learnt on the job.

• Customer/Sales Support – Answer phone/email sales enquiries and order goods/freighting of orders
• Financial Management – Input sales and bills into xero and sending out customer invoices/statements, preparing quotes and debt control
• General Office Management – administrative functions to help co-founders

Maternity cover role but very likely we will need two people going forward due to our rapid growth. Applicants for this position should have a NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
