Kāhui Tū Kaha is a community mental health and social housing organisation under the auspices of Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Whātua. It is a well-established and innovative provider and characterised by its diversity and commitment to health and social outcomes for everyone. We have a range of services aimed at benefitting LGBTTQIA+ communities – Rainbow Tick is the team that is focussed on LGBTTQIA+ inclusion in the workplace. This involves evaluating an organisation’s level of workplace inclusion for Rainbow employees and making evidence-based recommendations for change.
He kōrero mōu | About You:
You will have experience working in partnership with LGBTTQIA+ communities, a deep knowledge of LGBTTQIA+ inclusion and a passion to utilise this to support organisations across Aotearoa/New Zealand. You will have excellent written communication skills and experience in qualitative research. Ideally, you will have experience in team management.
He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role
This is your opportunity to lead the delivery and development of the accreditation element of Rainbow Tick’s services, to ensure thorough, specific and practical reporting and advice is provided to clients working towards Rainbow Tick accreditation or reaccreditation. The role will require you to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and Rainbow community groups and the ability to effectively allocate work to a team of Accreditation Specialists to ensure timely delivery of services.
What you will need to have:
- Tertiary level qualification preferable in gender studies or similar
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand’s Rainbow communities
- An understanding of Tikanga Māori
- Knowledge of, and experience in qualitative research, including focus group facilitation
- Commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi
All applicants must have New Zealand Permanent Residency, a full and clean driver’s license and a clean police record.
