Part-Time Accounts Administrator

Playcentre Aotearoa Lower Hutt, Wellington

Job Description

Location: Wellington – work from home, but some requirement to work at an office in Wellington region (currently Johnsonville but long term will be Lower Hutt) on occasion as required
Days and hours: 25hrs a week – Monday to Wednesday full days.

About the role
This role is part of a team of four Accounts Administrators, and two Accounts Managers. The Accounts Administrators within the team assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and bulk funding distribution.
They maintain and keep accurate records – for payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable. To allow mastery, parts of the role may be divided up within the team (i.e. focus on accounts or on payroll), but some familiarity in each aspect will be required.

This is an additional role being added to the existing team, due to the organisation growing quickly. Once the successful candidate is in place, the team and CFO will discuss what tasks and duties are best suited to which person in the team. Over time those in the Accounts Administrator role will be able or be required to change what parts of the role they cover, and be required to cover other parts of the role for those on leave, or as workload requires.

• Accounts payable and/or accounts receivable
• Data entry
• Strong time management
• Strong administration skills

• Experience following set processes, and looking for improvements
• Some experience using an accounts system (Xero/SAP/MYOB etc)
• Intermediate excel
• Flexible and resilient
• Great attention to detail
