Voluntary Accounting and Finance Intern

Job Description

As a non-profit organisation, the Peace Foundation work in Kiwi schools and households to equip children, youth and families with skills in conflict resolution, clear and mindful communication and peer mediation.

We are looking for a responsible and dedicated intern/volunteer to provide administrative support to the Finance Manager in the maintenance of the company’s finances.

Specific Responsibilities:

Xero – invoicing and accounts payable
Manage Accounts emails
Preparation for monthly Finance Subcommittee meeting
Assist with other office admin related tasks as required


Familiarity with Xero
Proficient with Excel, Numbers and Google Sheets is beneficial
Strong interest in business administration, SME/not-for-profit
Detail oriented with good communication skills.

The position is for a minimum of 6 to 12 hours a week (more for the right candidate) and with a commitment of no less than six months (negotiable based on skill and experience.


This is an unpaid internship.
