Full-Time Café Manager – Odyssey
Odyssey is committed to reducing the harm to individuals, family/whānau and society caused by the long term effects of addiction. We deliver residential and community services to support people living with drug and alcohol challenges.
Odyssey Café is a New Lynn-based social enterprise that aims to serve our local community with great food and coffee, while providing a work experience and training programme for people experiencing challenges to employment.
We’re looking for someone special to help us develop and grow our café and catering business.
You’ll need to have exceptional food preparation, coffee-making and menu design skills, and experience supervising or coaching people to develop these too. You’ll be managing the day-to-day running of the Café, so will be comfortable with food ordering and menu costing, and you’ll know your way around a P&L.
Most importantly, you love food, are passionate about your work and are keen to share this with our trainees. Your positive, can-do attitude is infectious, and you’re keen to help us create a warm, welcoming environment for trainees and customers alike.
We’d love someone who can be our expert in all things hospitality; but, most importantly, we’re looking for someone with the passion, drive and agility to help grow our social enterprise.
